About

The Valley R/C Flyers are a fun loving bunch of guys and gals of all ages, with a common interest in radio controlled miniature aircraft, helicopters, and/or drones. The group flies a large variety of different types of models powered by either gas engines or electric motors with air-frames constructed out of balsa wood or foam. Some pilots prefer to build their planes from scratch while others like the convenience of a model that is ready to fly out of the box.

Multirotors or drones have become more popular in the past few years and there are quite a few members who are very knowledgeable in this area. In May of 2016, the VRCF club field hosted the regions first drone race with over twenty pilots in attendance.

The best way to get started in this hobby is to stop out at our field and see the flying action first hand! Also feel free to join us at one of our monthly club meetings. Check out the getting started links under the resources page for extra information about the part of the hobby that interests you the most.
