Membership Information

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Valley RC Flyers is committed to promoting and supporting the RC flying community. Membership fees and donations help us maintain our field, provide training, and host events. EIN: 33-2531623.

A membership with Valley RC Flyers provides members with access to the club's flying field and its facilities which includes a 230 foot propex runway, electrical outlets for charging batteries, a basic shelter with picnic tables, and access to a refrigerator.

Club members have organized or participated in many events over the years. Some of the common events have included the following:

• The VRCF Annual Fun Fly (usually the first weekend in August)

• "Beginners Day" an event intended to introduce the hobby to the public

• Indoor RC Flying (during winter months)

• Swap meets and mall shows

• Educational outreach opportunities for youth groups, aviation related camps, and STEM programs.

• Involvement with regional full-scale airshows

Membership requirements:

• Membership with the AMA is required for new and existing members. The AMA provides insurance and other benefits to the club. See this link for more information about the AMA.

• The FAA requires that all unmanned aircraft weighing between 0.55 lbs. and 55 lbs. needs to be labeled with a UAS registration number and can be obtained here for a $5 fee which is valid for 3 years.
