Radio Controlled Model Aircraft - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Valley RC Flyers is planning to go ahead with our annual Fun Fly on August 1, 2020. We recognize that all of us are still dealing with the affects of the pandemic and so are modifying our plans accordingly.

​

Our sanctioned event will begin with registration at 9 am, pilot’s meeting at 10 am. Landing fee will remain at $25.

​

The expectation will be that all are aware of the COVID-19 risks and take precautions regarding social distancing, wearing of masks if you wish, minimize handling of common items, additional Jiffy John, hand sanitizing station.

​

Our plan for food will be that VRCF will provide a lunch as part of the landing fee and it will be premade box lunches from a local business. We will NOT be serving an evening meal. However, if people wish to go together and get some pizzas or something similar, that is a possibility.

​

Prizes will be reduced in number from prior years due to companies not donating as much during the pandemic. But we will have a few hundred dollars’ worth of gift cards to give out. This will also reduce contact exposure posed by everyone examining prizes on a table.

​

Just plan to come, fly, visit (albeit with some distancing), swap flying items and stories (lies), and enjoy one of the few events of the year in an outdoor, as safe as possible environment.

• Primitive Camping Available (electrical hook-ups available!)
