2024 "Rusty Thumbs" Spring Fun-Fly
Important field conditions update:
Our field is quite wet given all the rain recently. The ditches and surrounding fields are full of water. Many of the parking areas are water logged. There is a chance it will soak in and drain a bit by Saturday, but we ask that you standby for more information. Please do NOT plan to arrive before noon at the earliest. We hope things will improve, but we may not be able to fly at all. We just can't risk damaging the parking areas or grass areas for the whole season. It goes without saying, but do NOT drive past the fence.
All we can do now is pray and stay tuned. The Facebook group page will have the most up to date information.
If we are able to fly, waterproof boots and lighter planes will be highly recommended.

Discover the excitement of remote-controlled flight at the 2024 “Rusty Thumbs” Spring RC Fun Fly, hosted by Valley RC Flyers. This all-day event on Saturday, May 25th, is the perfect opportunity for anyone interested in the RC flying hobby to learn and engage with experienced enthusiasts. Our members will be displaying remote-controlled models of popular aircraft, including warbirds, jets, aerobatic planes, helicopters, and drones, at 9914 30th St N, Moorhead, MN 56560.
Whether you’re a hobbyist or just curious about RC aviation, you’ll find something to captivate your interest. Come and witness the skillful maneuvers of these incredible models and maybe even pick up a few flying tips from our friendly members.

Since it's Memorial Day Weekend, we'd love to highlight some Warbirds, so if you have some in your fleet, plan to bring some!

Come have fun at VRCF's Spring Fun-Fly "Rusty Thumbs" event! Charge your batteries, mix your gas, knock the dust off of your models, and exercise those RUSTY THUMBS at this FREE fun-fly. This will be a "no frills" get together (no meal, no prizes, etc). Just show up and have fun!
